Every year, the Chalmers Foundation joins the global Giving Tuesday movement—a day dedicated to generosity, community, and making a difference.
On Tuesday, December 2, we’re rallying our community to support FuelAid, a vital program that helps ease travel costs for patients and families across New Brunswick.
What is FuelAid?
For many, the biggest barrier to healthcare is getting there. The FuelAid program provides fuel cards, distributed by hospital social workers, to patients who must travel for treatment, surgery, or specialist appointments. By covering these costs, we help patients focus on healing—not the price of the trip.
“Every day, I work with patients who are ready to be discharged but face one final barrier: they can’t afford to get home or return for follow-up care. That’s where FuelAid changes everything.”
The need for this support only continues to grow. This Giving Tuesday, help fuel recovery and inspire hope for patients and families across New Brunswick.
Thanks to your generosity, those in need can focus on healing—not on how they’ll access the care they deserve.
Every gift makes a difference. Donate today to support local patients, one tank at a time.
