Since the Stan Cassidy Foundation merged with The Chalmers Foundation last November, we’ve been busy bringing a renewed and expanded focus towards the Stan Cassidy Centre for Rehabilitation (SCCR) programs.

We’ve created separate funds earmarked for foundation-supported SCCR initiatives, and we work directly with SCCR staff to identity equipment, technology and research needs.

We continue to support patient recovery journeys at SCCR by identifying rehabilitation needs and by enhancing facility, patient care and rehabilitation services.

About the Stan Cassidy Centre for Rehabilitation

Current programs

Care & Comfort

The Care & Comfort Fund grants hundreds of small items for patients to help removes obstacles during their recovery and puts smiles on everyone’s faces.

Bikes & Trikes

The program provides children a bicycle or tricycle adapted and customized to their unique needs.

Paediatric Adapted Aquatics Assessment Program (Swim Program)

The program provides an opportunity for children with complex disabilities to be able to swim; giving the child the freedom to float and play in the water independently and experience the physical benefits that buoyancy can offer towards rehabilitation.

Research and Education

We provide support for highly-specialized training & leading-edge research opportunities to SCCR staff.

General Funds

At times, a General Fund can provide all or part of the resources to explore potential funder and programming opportunities beyond the support that a public fundraising campaign can provide.
