chalmers cares RADIOTHON
Our 5th annual Chalmers Cares Radiothon on June 1st raised close to $70,000 for projects and initiatives at the Dr. Everett Chalmers Regional Hospital.
This year, for the first time, the Radiothon was broadcast on both UP!93.1 and New Country 92.3. Another first this year was participation from public school students.
13-year old Colter Wood is a former pediatric patient and a longtime supporter of The Chalmers Foundation. Through Colter’s Cause, Colter has been raising money for the hospital since he was just nine-years-old. This year, Colter challenged public school students to raise money for the Radiothon. Students at Devon Middle School, Barkers Point Elementary School, Nashwaak Valley Elementary School and Park Street School met Colter’s challenge and together with him, raised an impressive combined total of $4,578! Colter and student representatives from each of the participating schools were interviewed live on air during the Radiothon about their fundraising efforts.
Thank you to everyone who made a donation – in person, by phone, or online. Every dollar counts, and every dollar makes a difference.
