2024 Campaign: SPECT CT

A SPECT CT is used to produce a 3-D image that not only shows an organ, but how well the organ is functioning. The new SPECT CT will feature a higher patient weight limit, a reduced radiation dose for patients and improved high definition image quality, enabling our healthcare professionals to SEE MORE.

The current SPECT CT at Horizon Health Network's Dr. Everett Chalmers Regional Hospital was installed in 2012. Since then, new technology has become available that enables advanced clinical applications, and improves workflow for Medical Imaging Staff.

A SPECT CT scan can be ordered for many reasons, including brain, heart and bone issues. The enhanced imaging features in the new machine will allow healthcare providers to SEE MORE and could expedite diagnosis and planned treatment.
